Versailles. The château of Louis XIV conjures up images of unimaginable luxury. Early in his reign, Louis XIV constructed the château and relocated the royal court there from Paris. Construction on the structure began in 1664 and continued until 1715. Exactly how much time has passed? What a big palace! just 700 of the chateau’s 2,000 windows A total of 1,800 works of art (including paintings, tapestries, sculptures, and furniture) adorn the walls of the chambers and parks’ 67 stairs. Big deal. Everything about Louis XIV’s existence in the palace was strictly regulated. As King, he was entitled to nothing but the best. Everything was governed by rules at Versailles. Louis XIV had a passion for French lavender. A lavender-scented morning bath was a must for him. To control the spread of lavender soap scams, he issued the “Edit du King Pour le Manufactures du Soap” in 1658. Lavender was his favourite flower. To celebrate this long-reigning monarch, we blended a tea using the King’s favourite flower. Because of this, the political relations between France and England has remained strong throughout the years. Mixing Earl Grey tea with fragrant French lavender is a fitting tribute to the French political system. results reminiscent of Versailles. The floral notes of this tea pair well with the tang of bergamot in Earl Grey. Very recommended tea. Salut!
