Whether he was an ambulance driver in World War I, a writer, an international journalist, or a long-term hermit, Ernest Hemingway always enjoyed a good drink. The mojito is a particularly well-liked variety. At La Bodeguita del Medio, a tavern in the heart of old Havana, Hemmingway was said to have consumed copious amounts of the famed minty drink. The drink, so the locals believe, was created at the bar back in 1942. Even though Hemmingway passed away in 1961, the mojito, a delightful mint beverage, has become a worldwide phenomenon because to his enthusiasm for it.
What the heck, an interesting drink with a fascinating history? A brilliant idea for a new tea blend! Since it was Ernest Hemingway’s favourite beverage, we’ve created a limited-edition green tea that’s bursting with lime and mint to pay tribute to him. We started with a premium Japanese Sencha and flavoured it with dried mint leaves and squeezed lemon and lime. The resultant drink is tasty and can transport your mind to warmer southern climes. Serving it over ice, with a little milk and sugar, or as a mixer for rum or tequila are all good options. It’s so tasty, I can hardly stand it! I’ll have a drink in honour of Ernest Hemmingway.
