The birthplace of Japan Sencha Kakagawa, Kagoshima Prefecture, produced none other than the most consequential Samurai in Japanese history: Saigo Takamori (1828-1877). If anything, that should come as no surprise. Why? Because they are both bold, storied, and “true.” Let us elaborate.
Saigo Takamori was supposedly Japan’s final surviving Samurai. The great warrior only lived to be 49 years old, yet in that short time he conquered the hearts of everyone who followed him despite facing societal discrimination, exile, and countless conflicts. A lot of people in the tea industry agree that Sencha Kakagawa from Japan is a great representation of Japanese tea as a whole, and that it has the potential to capture the hearts of any tea drinker.
Sencha Kakagawa is cultivated in fields close to Saigo’s birthplace, and multiple investigations have confirmed that these areas are completely free of radiation. The second universal truth of this outstanding Sencha follows naturally. Like the ancient Samurai, you place a great value on your honour and will protect it no matter the cost, whether it the loss of a limb or the wrath of a horde of enemy swordsmen. Inexpensive for the quality of this tea, which lives up to the reputation of its ancestors. Enjoy!
