Sweets flavoured with hazelnuts and vanilla reportedly gained widespread acclaim during the times of the Roman Empire and King Arthur. Hazelnuts and vanilla were used in different ways before the two civilizations met. They say the Knights of the Round Table used hazelnuts as a bribe to evade the Romans. The Roman camp’s chef supposedly took one nibble and recognized the nuts would blend wonderfully with his vanilla. Cookies, pastries, and breads flavoured with the nutty and sweet flavours of hazelnut and vanilla have been a staple in practically every European country for generations. Specifically, a Master Taster’s European friend came up with the idea for this tea, t he resulting mixture is, in a word, esculentus, we’re really happy that he did. You can smell the flowers and nuts in this tea. An ideal complement to a classic European continental breakfast. Occupo!.
