Here’s a tea that really shines when left in its natural state. The mix was named after Lady Godiva, an Anglo-Saxon noblewoman who lived in the 11th century. Who was the naked rider in Coventry, England? Godiva rode out in a chariot to protest the taxes her abusive husband had levied on the town’s residents. So, what if she cared? Godiva appreciated the finer things in life, especially art. According to urban legend, taxation of the people was so high that they could not afford to contribute to public artworks. Godiva couldn’t take it and took action. She begged him to lower their tax bill, but he refused unless she rode a horse around town naked! The lengths some people will go to in order to create art.
As a matter of fact, it’s the complete antithesis, especially when compared to this delightfully rich Rooibos mix. Cederberg Rooibos, renowned for its herbaceous flavour and lengthy, silky finish, is the foundation of the equally alluring combination. To this, we added splashes of oils and dashes of sunflower petals for natural taste, as well as cut bits of pure vanilla, luscious morsels of cacao bean and peel, and more. The final mixture is a work of art. The cup’s upfront sweetness from the chocolate and undertones of chopped nuts, citrus, and orchid are balanced by the rich tones of vanilla bean.
This, as we recall, was the one we recommended trying in its purest form. So, if you’re in the mood for some adventure, stop by a café in Cap D’Agde, France, and order a cup. Like Lady Godiva, you may walk about town entirely in the buff at Cap D’Agde. Hello naturel!
