DECAF MINT, GREEN TEA

TO HAVE THE MOST DELICIOUS CUP OF TEA

Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil (100ºC/212F) and let it cool down to (85Cº/185F). Place one slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-5 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea).

The “fireworks capital” of Japan is the city of Okazaki in the Aichi Prefecture; more than 70% of the nation’s fireworks are made there. It’s interesting to note that Okazaki has been producing fireworks ever since.

Consequently, the largest event of the year in Okazaki is a fireworks festival that draws visitors from all over Japan. After all, the city is known for its use of pyrotechnics.

What does a decaf green tea mix have to do with any of this? We reasoned that anybody would need a relaxing beverage to help them unwind after spending the night taking in the sounds of countless Roman candles and admiring the visual magnificence of starburst after star burst. To achieve that, Okazaki mint was combined. The blend starts with a premium decaffeinated sencha-style green tea that is infused with delicious flowery notes of camomile and heated up with rich, spicy peppermint. A superb decaf with lots of taste and body.

 This tea is a natural for combining with dried fruits and herbs due to its mild, fresh flavour.
