“Long live the sovereign state of Cascadia!”
To put it another way: this is not a frequent expression. It has been claimed that if the states of British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon were to declare independence from the United States, they would unite to establish a new nation called Cascadia.
It has been claimed that if the states of British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon were to declare independence from the United States, they would unite to establish a new nation called Cascadia. Cascadia, an idea originally proposed by Thomas Jefferson, is sometimes expanded to incorporate all of Northern California and Alaska. After Lewis and Clark’s expedition to the Pacific Northwest began in 1803, he dreamed of a sovereign Western republic. The present Cascadia movement is predicated on the idea that individuals who live in that region have distinctive cultural traits from their Eastern counterparts. Okay, this has us thinking. Beliefs and practices exclusive to the Pacific coast can indicate only one thing. Hippies! In celebration of this would-be counterculture nation, we present Cascadia Herbal, one of our most liberal tea blends to date.
First, we took some Cerderberg Rooibos and added all kinds of plants that hippies would enjoy. Running your fingers through some loose leaves will reveal the lemon verbena,  herbs like peppermint, fennel, and liquorice that are fresh and have been used for centuries to soothe the nerves and aid the digestive system.
If the nation of Cascadia ever forms, this tea will undoubtedly become the official beverage. Make some soothing tea, get out the  love beads, and raise a mug to a loved one.
