East of the Nandi Hills, to the west of the Great Rift Valley, is where you’ll find the illustrious estate of Kapchorua. Colobus monkeys, unusual birds, gorgeous trees, crystal clear springs, and rolling fields stretching north, west, and east may all be found in the Tinderet forest to the south. One of the most gorgeous places on Earth is where the estate is located, although that’s an understatement.
Location of Kapchorua was decided upon in 1947 because to its proximity to the Timobo River, which traverses the estate on route to Lake Victoria. The original Planters would be proud to see how the estate’s irrigation system has made the grounds lush.
Kapchorua still keeps around 675 ha of land in tea, and many more acres are used for fuel wood, lumber, bamboo, and indigenous trees to preserve the local ecosystem.
The Ejulu kind of tea bush is the best grade tea bush growing in Kenya, yet it is just one of several alternatives. Kapchorua’s bushes are responsible for some of the most high-quality Kenyan teas ever seen in international markets. The green kind we offer here is among the most popular. We’re positive you’ll find this to be satisfactory. blown away by the richness of flavour in what must be one of the world’s best and most unusual green teas. “Chai tamu na halisi sana,” as they say in Kenya. That tea is the real deal; it tastes great and is made with care.
