Lime Atlantico. The name of this blended tea may leave you wondering, “Why such a poetic name?” In such case, name many citrus fruits that have found poetic immortality. Only one, actually: lime. English poet Robert Nichols penned “A Sprig of Lime” in 1918. He describes a guy whose final request is to be given a single sprig of the sour and sweet citrus fruit:
Scarce audible on deepened evening’s hush
He framed his curious and last request.
For ‘lime, a sprig of lime…
Sweet lime that often at the height of noon
Diffusing dizzy fragrance from your boughs,
Tasseled with blossoms more innumerable.
Then the black bees, the uproar of whose toil
Filled your green vaults…
If only he could have lived today, he could have bought as many fresh limes as he wanted. There has been a recent surge in the cultivation of this fruit’s worldwide popularity. Our team has created this exceptional green tea as a tribute to this sad elderly man
Sencha green tea is used to make this beverage. The soft, sugary flavour of this tea leaf was a deciding factor in its selection. When brewed, this tea has a honeylike Finish that works wonderfully with the natural Lime flavour. It’s interesting to note that the processing of this sencha is what gives it its silky smoothness. It yields a tea that’s as energising as it is revitalising. We’re sure you’ll find this somewhat astringent tea to be so invigorating that you’ll want more. Try it over ice for a refreshing pick-me-up.
